At 7:00pm on November 22, 2009, the Bridge Construction No 2 Corporation, one of the main contractors working on the Ham Luong Bridge construction site, held the ceremony to conjoin the middle span of the birdge. According to Mr Le Manh Hung, Chief Supervisor for the Ham Luong Bridge construction, about 90% of construction volume has been done. And the bridge is planned to be technically opened on the 50^th anniversary of Ben Tre Dong Khoi on January 17, 2010.

On November 23, 2009, an OHL Corporation delegation paid avisit to Ben Tre and was received by Mr Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of Ben Tre People’s Committee and many officials from the province’s departments and sectors.
