Typhoon Ketsana struck the country’s Central Part causing disastrous damages, mostly in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces.

In the spirit of helping the poor in their needs, Ben Tre’s People’s Committee has issued an appeal to all social-politic organizations, departments and sectors, district and city governments and all civil service workers and labourers and residents, including police and military personnels, to donate one day salary each to contribute to the charity fund to help our countrymen who were victimized during typhoon Ketsana operation and in the aftermath floods. This help will mean to assist the storm victims to overcome its consequences and return to normal life as soon as possible.
